THE START OF AN AMAZING JOURNEY

Being able to find a community that gives you the opportunity to pursue a career you’ve always dreamed about but never really got an opportunity to be part of is a gift and SIDE HUSTLE has provided this Gift. It’s been four weeks already since the beginning of the side hustle digital marketing course and this is the first week of another amazing four weeks of The Startup Bootcamp.

Hello there and welcome to the first week of our STARTUP BOOTCAMP Experience. So far it hasn’t been easy. Working in a team of 9 and trying to figure out the assigned task for week 1 has been a bumpy ride so far.

THE UAC FOOD BRAND
It was a really interesting week. We started the week with an amazing orientation call session where the boot camp was explained in detail and we got to find out how different the Bootcamp is from the first four weeks of training.
The startup boot camp is all about learning. It is where we work in teams on real-life experiences that enable us to gather portfolios for a future in Digital Marketing.
If we thought the first four weeks were fast-paced and stressful, then we didn’t know boot camp would be something else.

So, for our first week of boot camp, we were asked to work on a task. We were asked to create a Digital marketing plan for a brand under three industries that were listed for the task and a content calendar for the brand’s social media platforms for the month of May.
For the brand, Team 10 decided to go with the UAC food brand that produces snacks. We proceeded to research and brainstorm on the task with a lot of hard work put in, we made a lot of progress. We talked about the content of the Marketing plan which included the Target market and Target audience, the Geography, Demography, Behavior, Pain Points, and Persona of the brand. We also brainstormed on the elements of the content calendar. It was no easy work I tell you, but we pulled through.
The task was shared and teammates were able to participate and share ideas on various areas of the task, We did a final review, corrections were made in various areas it was needed and the task was put together for submission.

In summary, the week has been a huge success though rough and stressful, with deadlines, and hard work. How we’ve been able to juggle all these with our daily activities should be studied but we aren’t backing down. Special thanks to SIDE HUSTLE for this amazing opportunity, we are excited to see what the next few weeks have in store for us. And to us the interns… Stay Motivated 💪🏽
